Lac Bouchard REE Project

Dual-commodity REE and Cu-Mo system in the Grenville Province of Quebec, with exceptional road access 65 km north of Trois-Rivières. Historic monazite samples from pegmatite dykes returned up to 59.23% total rare earth elements.

Geology & setting

The Lac Bouchard Project is located in the Mékinac complex of the Grenville Province, a region characterised by high-grade metamorphic rocks and late-stage intrusive bodies — a geological setting that has proven highly favourable for REE-bearing pegmatite systems across the eastern Canadian Shield.

The property is situated approximately 65 km north of Trois-Rivières with excellent year-round access via Highway 155 and local forestry roads, making it logistically straightforward to explore. The nearby communities of Saint-Tite and Shawinigan provide essential services and accommodation. The project is also situated within 200 km of the operating Niobec Mine, North America's only niobium producer.

Two distinct mineralisation styles have been defined on the property: pegmatite-hosted REE and uranium in radioactive dykes up to 45 metres wide, and stratabound copper-molybdenum mineralisation in carbonate-rich layers between quartzite beds.

Key mineralisation highlights

Exceptional REE grades in pegmatite — up to 59.23% TREE
Historic analysis of monazite crystals found in pegmatite dykes returned assays of up to 59.23% total REE — including 20% Lanthanum, 15% Cerium, and 8% Neodymium — alongside 8.12% Thorium Oxide. Mineralisation occurs as disseminated monazite crystals up to 5 cm in diameter.
High-grade Cu-Mo at contact zones — 2.57% Cu, 3.00% Mo
Historic trenching in contact-hosted Cu-Mo zones yielded samples up to 2.57% copper and 3.00% molybdenum. Sulphides including molybdenite and chalcopyrite are disseminated in nodules and grains along lithological contacts — stratabound targets that may repeat along structural horizons.
Year-round road access — 2 hours from Quebec City
Unlike many critical mineral properties in Northern Quebec, Lac Bouchard is accessible year-round via paved and forestry roads — significantly reducing exploration costs and enabling rapid follow-up of any positive results.

AI prospectivity modelling & recommended work

Model output
5 high-priority target zones (BL-01 to BL-05) identified. BL-01 received the highest prospectivity score (0.58), encompassing the known Rivière Bouchard REE and Lac Bouchard Cu-Mo occurrences. Four additional targets in the western claim blocks represent entirely new discovery areas.
Phase 1 — next step
Ground-truthing of AI targets through detailed geological mapping, sampling of pegmatite dykes, and assaying of Cu-Mo contact zones. Accessible year-round by road.
Phase 2 — contingent
Drilling program to test the depth continuity of the highest-grade pegmatite REE zones and the stratabound Cu-Mo contacts, contingent on Phase 1 results.
